Perhaps a better name would be Journal or News. I chose B.L.O.G.—who knew that “word” would become traditional? The good news is “Quilting” will always be universally recognized no matter what language we translate. We’ll still be searching for creative ways to express quilt art and new locations to shop for essentials. We desire inspirational instructors, exciting fabrics and especially quality THREADS—the glue! Our support network of quilters through satellite groups, guilds, and communities is vibrant (especially here, on Vancouver Island, BC). Thread Candy Shoppe Visits Guild

This week I was given the opportunity to share my wares with members of the Parksville Quilthouse Quilters' Guild who could shop-in-living-color from my "Thread Candy Shoppe". I appreciated the practice playing 'store' preparing to be a merchant at the 2 upcoming quilt shows here on Vancouver Island:

1. Quilting With the Stars - Victoria May 14-16  www.victoriaquiltersguild.org
2. Material Magic - Nanaimo June 18 - 20 www.islandquilters.ca

Another highlight of this meeting was fibre artist/author, Gladys Love from Comox, BC who debuted her funky new book: "Embellishing With Anything", C&T Publishing. A great source of ideas and entertainment. If you wish to learn more about her book and the lady behind the 'black hat' click here.
