Perhaps a better name would be Journal or News. I chose B.L.O.G.—who knew that “word” would become traditional? The good news is “Quilting” will always be universally recognized no matter what language we translate. We’ll still be searching for creative ways to express quilt art and new locations to shop for essentials. We desire inspirational instructors, exciting fabrics and especially quality THREADS—the glue! Our support network of quilters through satellite groups, guilds, and communities is vibrant (especially here, on Vancouver Island, BC). Join me as I share how-to articles on Threads and techniques, quilting events, profiles on fabric artists, natural things of beauty and  general interest to curious and resourceful stitchers! ...Cindy Scraba (Cinderella)

Texture Magic Classes without the Drama

Posted by cindy on Saturday, January 9th, 2010

serge & Sew (Medium)

It was a thrill to demo the new texture medium, Texture Magic™, at Serge & Sew quilt shop in Nanaimo BC, the first week of January. Bev Crews, owner and the staff were great playmates. Carol (center) is shown with her wonderful, textured "Dragon Fly"--you must drop in the store to see this wall hanging! Margaret (right) introducing, "Sunflower"--my first textured project adventure. What fun at this Open House Event--and whew, busy!!! Big thanks to those who signed up for my first 2 classes in texture being offered there during the month of March.

My Sunflower pillow project, was completed the day before (my signature behavior) and was the featured subject of my first Column in the Spring 2010 Issue of Canadian Quilter Newsletter. Follow my Blog for future articles and pattern availability, or feel free to contact me. If your group is interested in learning how this texture fabric magically transforms itself contact me.
